Why Choose Us for Your Deck & Fence Staining in San Antonio?

 5.0 Google Reviews

Your outdoor wooden structures are an investment. At Texas Lonestar Painting, we provide specialized staining and sealing services designed to highlight the natural beauty of your wood while providing a shield against the South Texas climate.

Deep-Clean Surface Restoration

We don’t just apply stain over dirt. Our process includes professional-grade pressure washing and wood cleaning to remove graying, mold, and mildew. This ensures the stain penetrates deep into the grain for a finish that won't peel or flake.

UV & Moisture Protection

San Antonio sun can bleach and crack wood in a single season. We use premium, UV-resistant sealants and stains that act like "sunscreen" for your deck and fence, preventing warping and water absorption.

Custom Finish Options

Whether you prefer a transparent sealer to show off the natural grain, a semi-transparent tint, or a solid color stain for a uniform look, we offer a wide range of colors to match your home’s exterior aesthetic.

Structural Integrity Check

During our prep phase, we inspect for loose boards, protruding nails, or signs of rot. We ensure your deck or fence is structurally sound and safely prepared before the first coat of stain is applied.

We’ve adapted our professional workflow to ensure your outdoor project is completed efficiently with results that last for years.

“Professional, Fast, Courteous”

This is my 2nd job with Ryan and Texas Lonestar Painting. I had a botched landscape job with an unfinished concrete treatment on my patio and porch that resulted in overspary on my house! Ryan was the first person I thought of who could fix it! Ryan finished the concrete treatment, repaired and repainted the house, restrained all the wood columns and trim and my front door. It looks like a new house! Ryan is professional, fast, courteous! The guy is an artist, actually. I highly recommend Ryan and Texas Lonestar Painting! Amazing work! Thanks Ryan!

“Honest service you can trust.”

I hired Texas Lonstar Painting to paint my house, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Ryan did an incredible job, very detailed and professional. He’s honest, easy to talk to, and made the whole process smooth from start to finish. I’m seriously impressed with the quality of the work and highly recommend Ryan and his team to anyone looking for top-notch painting services.

  • How long does deck or fence stain take to dry?

In the San Antonio climate, most stains are "dry to the touch" within 2–4 hours. However, we recommend waiting 24–48 hours before moving furniture back onto a deck or allowing pets to run along a newly stained fence.

  • How often should I restain my fence in San Antonio?

Due to the intense UV exposure in South Texas, we recommend restaining every 2–3 years for decks (which take direct sun and foot traffic) and every 3–5 years for vertical fences.

  • Can you stain a brand-new fence immediately?

Actually, we recommend waiting! New "green" pressure-treated lumber needs time to "weather" and dry out—usually 3–6 months—so the wood pores can open up and properly absorb the stain.

  • Do you offer discounts for large projects?

Yes! We offer a 5% discount for military, first responders, and teachers. We also offer flexibility discounts for early booking or when you combine a fence staining project with an exterior house paint job.
